Why I created this blog...

"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences. "

A Vampire+ an Angel & a Skunk=Halloween for us

So this year for Halloween, we went out to my sisters house. She and my brother-in-law BBQ'd tri tip and ribs and hooooo boy was it good! We had a great time just spending time with them and then when it got dark, we took the kids out trick-or-treating. My sister lives in a great neighborhood and there were tons of kids out. My girls had a blast! My little Snugglebutt on the other hand, slept the entire time (except for the occasional eye opening for a picture flash here and there). Here are some pictures from our evening...

My big girls. Sassy the vampire and stinkbug the angel.
(This picture was actually from our church halloween party the evening before)

My Angel baby. (She said she looks like a helicopter in this picture. I almost have to agree haha)

He was NOT impressed with his costume.

"HEY! Stop laughing at me! You aren't going to think it's so funny when you realize that I just made my diaper match the costume!!!"

My beautiful little sister with my little stinker.
He has the best expressions!
Me and my kiddos

RodeoMan and our girls. :)
After Trick-or-Treating. We were all pooped out at this point.

We had a great evening and the kids loaded up on candy. Now if only someone would hide the bowl from me, that would be great! :)

My, how fast they grow!

OK, so I know I still have to get my birthstory up here. But in the meantime, I wanted to share a few pictures I took of my little Snugglebutt a couple days ago. I'm tellin' you, he's all smiles until I get the camera out. And then he just turns into a little stink. :) I really had to work to get a smile out of him, and even then, it was his biggest sister that finally got one that I actually caught with my camera. Speaking of...I had the camera on the wrong setting, so the pictures are grainy and the color is off. Oh well, I still think he's pretty darn cute if you ask me.

Who needs to smile when you have cheeks like these?

Or lips like these?

And there it is....Looking up at his big sister with a big smile he saves just for her.

I heart him.

Yes. I know. It's been forever.

I've been absolutely horrible about keeping up here. And I apologize. Things have been busy to say the least. I had forgotten just how busy newborns are! And before that, getting ready for one. I have so many things to catch up on that it's making my head spin to think about it all. But for this morning, and because Mr. Snugglebutt is starting to wake up and fuss, I'll just share some pictures to start....

These were his newborn pictures that we had done when he was brand new....They make me weepy already knowing that he's already so much bigger! (I'll work on posting his birthstory soon. I know it'll come by the way of lots of tears on my part. It was, by far, one of the most special days of my life.)

I need to go get him up and ready for the day. I do promise to be back from now on. I have SO much to update about, so hopefully I can start catching up a little at a time. Oh and just so I don't leave them out...here's some pictures of my precious girls....

I know, I know....

It's been forEVER since I've updated my blog. But I have a good reason. Really, I do. And it comes in the form of an announcement.

WE'RE PREGNANT!!!!

OK, I know most of you already know this, but some of our family and relatives did not. So instead of trying to blog and avoid talking about our excitement while we waited until we told everyone, I avoided blogging all together. That and the WRETCHED morning sickness that plagued me up until the last couple weeks kept me laid up for a while. Hoo boy, it was rough. Taking care of 2 kids and a husband while wanting to throw up 24 hours a day was NOT fun. BUT! I'm back to the living again. And getting more and more excited every day.

I'm due at the end of July and am now officially in my 2nd trimester. Two weeks from today we will find out if it's a boy or a girl. Yes, I know. We are impatient. I don't know how anyone can wait until they have the baby! Haha. Patience have never been my strong point. (Ask my sweet husband, he's received the brunt of it since the hormones kicked in.)

So I'm sure this will officially turn into a pregnancy blog for the next 6 months. Bear with me while I blog about it all. We are excited! We've wanted another baby for so long and it's finally our turn again.

So here are some pictures from the past couple months...

November 19,2008:

I almost fell over from shock when I saw 2 lines. I just sat there and laughed and cried and laughed some more.

And as soon as Rodeoman got home from work, I surprised he and the girls with a "package". I think that look on his face is pure shock. (I'll post the story of how I told him in the next post. The girls reaction was priceless.)

Our first ultrasound on 12/29/08. SO CUTE!

And of course the obligatory belly shots. Although these are mostly "bloating shots"  Heh.

I can't believe how quickly time is going by. Before I know it, we are going to have another precious baby to snuggle. We are SO grateful for this little one and can't wait to meet him/her. And now that everyone in our family knows, I promise to keep up on my blog.

Ahhhhh...still floating from meeting her ♥

I hope she comes back again soon. It was a great show for sure. I just wish my little(est) sister could have been there with us. Then it would have been perfect! Oh, and I have more pictures to post and even a video. But that will come later. I have a munchkin that needs to be tucked in and read to. :)

I got to meet her...I got to meet her....I GOT TO MEET HER!!!!

I cannot believe it. Tonight, I got to meet THE Ingrid Michaelson!!! (If you don't know who she is, first of all, SHAME on you! Scroll down and play one of her songs off my playlist and you'll know who I'm talking about) My sister and I got to go to her show in Sacramento and afterward we decided to sit for a few minutes and OUT SHE CAME! She signed my CD and we even got to take pictures with her and talk for a few! There weren't many people left in the place so we only had to share her with a handful of other girls. It was stinkin' AWESOME! (Photos to follow later as I didn't take my big ol' camera in there for fear of looking like the paparazzi so I'll post them as soon as I get them from my Sisters camera.)
Anyway, She is a DOLL and her show was phenominal! I had a great, wonderful, MUCH NEEDED night. Although, I don't think my feet have ever hurt this bad before. We stood there, in HEELS, from 8:45pm until 1:30-ish am. Yeah. Ouch.
Oh, and I learned a very valuable lesson from looking at the pictures we took on my sisters camera. Ruffles and tops that flare below the waist are NOT slimming. I've got some serious photoshopping to do before those ones are posted. *Yikes* But until then, I'll leave you all with these little teasers....

LOOK... LOOK....there it is....her signature! I so heart her!
And I know this is only funny because it's almost 3am and I'm deliriously tired, but I put the CD under my desk lamp for light to take the pictures and it looks like I put a hat on her. LOL. I know, right. Hardy har har.Alright. I am taking my seriously unfunny self to bed. My Rockstar energy drink is wearing off in a big way and I'm pooped. Nite!

There is a right way to hold a chicken...

And this definitely isn't it.

Would you look at the face on that kid??? And the look on Penny's face. (Yes, as in "Henny Penny") You can almost hear what she's thinking. "Are you kidding me with this kid?!? I've got no dignity left!" HAHAHA!

OK, Here we go. This is the right way...

My girls LOVE to hold any chickens they can get their hands on. Usually they aren't quick enough to be able to catch one but this one in particular was being rather feisty and kind of aggressive yesterday and chasing after us, so Stinkbug decided she was going to just pick her up to "teach her a lesson". What happened next was pretty funny. Penny fell asleep. She let Stinkbug drag her all over the place and just kept her eyes closed the whole time. (Although, I play possum when I want my kids to leave me alone too, so Penny may be smarter than I'm giving her credit for. ;) )

And after the hold Stinkbug had her in, I think it's safe to say Penny will leave her alone from now on.
